Fish Pedicures:
R4-10-112. Infection Control and Safety Standards rules by this
state; prohibit "Fish Pedicures".
Natural Hair Braiding & other changes are
effective August 26, 2004:
What can an unlicensed hair braider do?
A.R.S. § 32-505 (10) "Persons who
provide a service that results in tension on hair strands or roots by twisting,
weaving, extending, locking or braiding, if the service does not include the
application of dyes, reactive chemicals, or other preparations to alter the
color of the hair or to straighten, curl or alter the structure of the hair"
Hair extensions using the sewing methods
are "NOT" regulated.
Glue Methods are Regulated!!
How can a salon employ an unlicensed hair
braider?
If you, as a licensed owner, provide
this unlicensed service in your salon, see A.A.C. R4-10-111(E) which states
"Salons shall prominently post a notice of salon services that are not regulated
by the Board and are performed by people who are not licensed by the Board."
